The general aim of research assessment programmes is to ensure excellence in scientific research activities, development and technological innovation in universities and research centres.
The following programmes are active in this area in the current annual action plan:

- Merits for hiring research staff
- Research results (research productivity)
In order to carry out these programmes, ACSUCYL has a Research Assessment Committee .
