Within the framework of policies aimed at fostering research that may be carried out by teaching staff and/or researchers at public and private universities as well as other entities, the Quality Assurance Agency for the University System in Castilla y Leon offers a service to evaluate the research results achieved by their teaching staff and/or researchers.
Evaluation is conducted individually, analysing the contributions made by a member of teaching staff/researcher over one or more six-year periods, in accordance with specific assessment criteria for the different fields of knowledge, and which adapt to the criteria used in their evaluation by the National Committee for the Evaluation of Research (CNEAI), or by the body which may take on their competences.
This assessment programme forms part of ACSUCYL'S Catálogo de Servicios de evaluación (392 kbytes) , such that universities may solicitar la prestación (111 kbytes) this service which, subsequent to approval by ACSUCYL’S Board of Directors and the signing of the corresponding contract, will give way to the assessment process.
ACSCUCyL carries out the evaluation of the research results of the professors and / or researchers according to the procedure and the criteria established in the following evaluation manual:
ACSUCYL conducts assessment of the research projects through the Research Assessment Committee , which is responsible amongst other tasks for:
Planning and coordinating the assessment process.
Designing, approving and publishing the assessment criteria and methods.
Adopting joint final assessment decisions.
In order to perform its tasks, the committee draws on the advice of experts, setting up a scientific panel related to the area of knowledge linked research project. Said experts are from universities outside.
The work undertaken by the members of the committee and the experts in the scientific panel is subject to the Agency's Código Ético (556 kbytes) .
