In order to engage the participation of all those involved in degrees under evaluation –within the evaluation process carried out by ACSUCYL for the renewal of accreditation of official university degrees– the Agency issued an open invitation to contribute to the process through an Open Audience computer platform.
Content:
The platform was active from 20 January until 4 April, and received 229 message notifications from various stakeholders involved in degrees (students, teachers, placement coordinators, employers, etc.).
In addition to being able to convey these views directly to the external review panels, the opinions expressed have been taken into account in order to boost the content of the reports issued subsequent to the institutional visits that took place on 1 April.
Renewal of accreditation is the third of the quality assurance stages –after verification of the curriculum (ex-ante accreditation) and follow-up of the degrees introduced– and it determines whether or not the degree is to continue.
The evaluation protocols involved in this process have been established jointly by the university quality assurance agencies that are listed in the European Quality Assurance Register (EQAR) and they comply with the European Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance of Higher Education (ESG).
