Description:
ACSUCYL'S inclusion in the European Quality Assurance Register (EQAR), which entails the ability to offer assessment reports for the verification and accreditation of official university degrees, is subject to the Agency successfully undergoing external evaluation in accordance with the Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG).

ACSUCYL successfully underwent external evaluation in accordance with the ESG in 2009, 2014 and 2019, which was conducted by the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA), and which subsequently involved undergoing a fresh evaluation in 2024.
To this end, the Agency submitted an ESG-compliant self-assessment report to ENQA last May. For its part, ENQA has set up an External Evaluation Panel made up of Nora Skaburskienė as President, Michèle Wera (Secretary), Manuel João Tavares Mendes Costa (Academic) and Adrian Korzeniowski (Student).
The Panel will visit ACSUCYL from 8 to 11 July, interviewing a representation of all the agents involved in the Agency's activity: Director, Board of Directors, Advisory Council, Student Council, Evaluation Bodies, Academic and Technical Quality Managers of the Universities of Castilla y León, and Technicians from the Agency itself.
