ACSUCYL
At its session on 15 November, the Board of Directors of the Quality Assurance Agency for the University System in Castilla y León (ACSUCYL) agreed to launch a call for the process to accredit the positions of lecturer holding a PhD at public universities, and private university teaching staff in the region of Castilla y León, as well as a process for accrediting assistant lecturers holding a PhD.
The agreement will set out the form and period in which to apply for assessment. In accordance with the previsions set out under Organic Law 4/2007, 12 April (amending Organic Law 6/2001, of 21 December, governing universities), and the third transitory provision of Organic Law 2/2023, of 22 March, governing the higher education system, ACSUCYL will issue the call through which universities in the higher education system in Castilla y León will hire for certain university teaching staff posts for which assessment is required: assistant lecturer holding a PhD, and private university lecturer.
The agreement also sets out the form and period for those who wish to seek accreditation for assistant lecturer/assistant lecturer holding a PhD, even when this is no longer a requirement to apply for places which universities might offer for such posts.
Publication of the call in the official gazette of Castilla y León is expected in the next few days.
