Performance Evaluation (ED) of Administrative and Service Staff

Legislative Royal Decree 5/2015, of 30 October, approving the reworked text of the Law on the Basic Statute for Public Employees provides for performance evaluation as a procedure to measure and gauge professional behaviour and performance or result achievement through systems adapted to criteria of transparency, objectivity, impartiality and non-discrimination, to be applied without prejudicing the rights of public employees. 

Within the framework of university autonomy, as set out under Organic Law 6/2001 of 21 December governing universities, it falls to universities to determine the conditions under which to carry out their own performance evaluation assessment programmes for administrative and service staff.

The Quality Assurance Agency for the University System in Castilla y Leon offers universities advice and technical support for the implementation, follow-up and evaluation of these programmes.
