Evaluation of internal quality assurance systems (IQAS) for higher arts courses

The  Real Decreto 1614/2009 9, of October 26, which establishes the organization of higher artistic education, contemplates the systems and procedures for evaluating the quality of these educations with the aim of improving teaching, research and center management, as well as promoting excellence and mobility of students and teaching staff.. 

With this aim in mind, higher arts course centres design and implement their regular internal and external quality assessment plans, taking as the basic reference criteria the standards set out and regulated in the context of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA), and with the cooperation of the educational authorities’ external assessment bodies, such as the Quality Assurance Agency for the University System in Castilla y Leon (ACSUCYL).

ACSUCYL offers higher arts course centres advice and technical support for the implementation, follow-up and evaluation of their internal quality assurance systems (IQAS), following the quality assurance standards and guidelines in the EHEA, applying protocols similar to those established for the IQAS of university centres
