The Teaching Staff Assessment Committee is ACSUCYL'S collegiate body for assessment, certification and accreditation, and is responsible amongst other tasks for:
Issuing reports prior to universities recruiting teaching staff.
Assessment of teaching staff activities at universities.
Assessment of merits prior to the allocation of payment bonuses for university teaching staff.
The regulations governing the committee’s functioning as well as the profiles and technical requirements of its members are described in Decreto 15/2015, de 19 de febrero, por el que se aprueba el Reglamento de la Agencia para la Calidad del Sistema Universitario de Castilla y León.
The committee is made up of ten public sector workers holding a PhD from university teaching staff bodies, whatever their administrative situation, who hold at least three recognised periods of teaching (five-year periods) and two recognised periods of research (six-year periods), and who represent a balance between the various areas of knowledge.
